Veteran of the Year
CVMF elected Harold Hervey as its Veteran of the Year in 2024. The award was presented during the Campbell Chamber Community Foundation’s Celebrate Campbell gala on 3/15/25. It was a grand black-tie affair for men, and the ladies were resplendent in their evening gowns and elegant masks, which befitted the evening's theme, "Unmasking Campbell's Heroes." These were Harold's comments:
“As a seven-year member of this wonderful organization, you can imagine how I feel about being voted the Veteran of the Year. Simple words like Honored, Thankful, and Proud all fail to convey the true scope and depth of my gratitude. Representing the Foundation at such an auspicious venue is truly one of the most memorable events in my life.
But this recognition is not just about me. It’s really a tribute to the incredible people who built and sustained this organization for the past 17 years. True visionaries like Jim Free, Dan Furtado, Ken Estep, Frank Jewett, Mike Kowtowski, and many others helped shape the Foundation into what it is today. In addition, our current Board shares those values and remains committed to supporting student veterans and preserving the elegant Memorial next to City Hall.
Those are the true legacies we honor tonight.
With your help, the Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation will continue to support those who served and honor our fallen heroes who served this city and nation.
Thank you for this extraordinary tribute.”
New Strategic Partner

The CVMF Board is honored to have Robert Half as a contributor and strategic partner. RH is a world-class global organization that has provided human resource and consulting services to businesses and civic communities since 1948. Fortune Magazine labeled Robert Half as one of the "World's Most Admired Companies" in 2025.
In addition to contributing $1,500 to CVMF, RH also donated six PCs that CVMF will distribute to needy veteran students at West Valley and Mission Colleges.
Thanks and salutations to the Robert Half community. Welcome Aboard.
Important Dates
Please mark your calendars for these important events.
Easter Egg Extravaganza
April 19, 2025
The CVMF will support the Kiwanis Club of Campbell at their Easter Egg Extravaganza at the Community Center field on Saturday, April 19. Festivities start at 10 AM. Lots of fun and excitement for the lids. Come one, come all.
Memorial Day Celebration
May 26, 2025
CVMF is proud to celebrate Memorial Day, the nation's foremost annual day to honor service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. Originally called Decoration Day, it was formalized by a "Memorial Day Order" issued by the Grand Army of the Republic in 1868.
Supported by the Campbell High School Orchestra and the Marine Corps Color Guard, the day will showcase local luminaries and community leaders.
Stay tuned for details and highlights.
Our Team at "Work"
Finding ways to thank a hard-working team is always a high priority for any non-profit like the CVMF. With that in mind, our gang had a great time playing games at Campo di Bocce in Los Gatos. Great food and good times were had by the Board and a few of our friends. It was the bocce ball version of the Navy-Army football game. Of course, the Navy won because it had a Marine on the team.

CVMF is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization
